Baltic ventures

Saddhaloka makes regular trips to Helsinki to work with the Buddhist Centre and Sangha there. From Helsinki it is a short boat trip across to Tallinn. Order members from Helsinki first visited Estonia at the invitation of Estonian Buddhists some time before the end of the Soviet era. There has been an FWBO group in Tallinn since then. In 2005 Vaddhaka, an English Order member,  moved to Tallinn to run the Buddha House. He is there through his connection with Saddhaloka and Padmaloka, where he lived and worked for several years.
Saddhaloka also makes regular trips  from Helsinki to St Petersburg, where we have several friends. He is overseeing a project translating and publishing Dharma books in Russia (four published so far) and the setting up of a Russian language web-site that includes the foundation year of the mitra study course.
Much further south, Saddhaloka has visited Odessa several times, establishing connections in the Ukraine.
