Transcendental Principle

Magnolia

During this retreat we will study the first chapter of Sangharakshita’s classic text ‘A Survey of Buddhism’ which offers a broad contemplation of the Buddha’s essential Dharma and delves deep into the sublimity of the Buddha’s core teaching of conditioned co–production. Through crystal clear reasoning and subtle poetic imagery Sangharakshita is able to give a taste of the ineffable Nirvana.

Transcendental Principle: Going Deeper

For those booking on the above retreat we also offer a going deeper section following on from the main part of the retreat. This largely silent period of retreat focuses on meditations and reflections associated with the theme of the main retreat. It allows for the important process of assimilation of the material and for taking the Dharma deeper into our experience.

This will include reflections on the principle of conditioned co–production including an introduction to, and contemplation of, the twenty four nidana chain.
