The Ratnaguna-Samcayagatha
"The appreciative aspect of pranja opens up a perspective on the whole subject-matter of the Ratnaguna-samcayagatha, and of the Prajnaparamita generally, that is all too easily overlooked. It represents such a significant dimension of the activity of the Bodhisattva, and offers such a useful counterbalance to the intellectuality with which we tend to approach Prajnaparamita texts..." Sangarakshita
This group will be studying the Ratnaguna-Samcayagatha Sutra one of the so called Mahayana Perfection of Wisdom sutras.
We'll use 'Wisdom Beyond Words' by Sangarakshita as our main study text. This has chapters one and two of the Ratnaguna-samcayagatha.
The full text can be found in "The Perfection of Wisdom in Eight Thousand Lines" translated by Edward Conze, available from Sri Satguru Publications. ISBN 81-7030-405-9. It may be useful to have this text as well, but it's not essential. I got my copy through Amazon.
I'd like to incorporate the use of paint and colour, so would ask if people could bring a small selection of acrylic or water based paints, a few brushes, or any other art materials they have (such as pastels and pencils). Lastly please bring at least one permanent marker pen?
