Creating the Land of the Buddha: The Buddha's social revolution
The Buddha's teaching is not only for the liberation of the individual person: from the very beginning he was concerned with creating the best possible world that would support and develop the humanity of all people.
In the course of this weekend we will be envisaging the Buddhaland and exploring the Dharma revolution by drawing on the Vimalakirti Nirdesha, as well as the work of Dr B.R. Ambedkar, the great Indian leader who re-established Buddhism in India in the twentieth century.
The weekend starts at 6:30pm with dinner on the Friday and finishes after lunch on the Sunday at about 2:30pm.
This weekend is directly followed by the Men's Open Retreat led by Saddharaja and team which you can book on here: http://bit.ly/MensOpenRetreat.
If you have asked for Ordination and would like to spend time with members of the Ordination team we recommend prioritising Ordination training weekends, Ordination training retreats and meditation retreats.
Please note: this retreat is now full, if you would like to attend, please email the Guest Master at firstname.lastname@example.org to see if any spaces have become available.
