The Order is a network of spiritual friendship (kalyana mitrata) that one helps to create, actively participates in and, at the point of ordination, decisively commits to. Kalyana mitrata is, therefore, both an important part of ordination training and the context within that training takes place.
On this retreat we will study Sangharakshita’s teaching on spiritual friendship, and will reflect on and communicate the effect that spiritual friendship has had on our lives. We will also continue to develop our friendships within the Sangha – the ideal context in which to study and practise.
The retreat starts with dinner on the first day at 6:30pm and finishes on the final day at 10.00am.
