Unconditional love is one of humanity’s greatest ideals, which many of us strive to realise and exemplify. Acting in accordance with this principle, however, while witnessing the complexities and torments of worldly life can lead to struggle and bewilderment. When we encounter loss, sickness, violence and pain in our own lives or in the world around us, where can we turn for the wisdom we need to guide us onwards in our practice of loving kindness?
But from a place far beyond the strife of this world there comes a great light, illuminating a vision. This vision holds all beings as hugely precious in their common potential for Enlightenment. We begin to see the distinctive qualities of living beings and understand how we too can nurture their growth and freedom. Our life and world are being slowly transformed by the infinite love of the red Buddha Amitabha.
Join us at Padmaloka this year for the third in our series of retreats on the Mandala of the five Buddhas. Through talks, meditation, ritual, and friendship we will begin to approach the figure of Amitabha (Infinite Light), opening to his wisdom and love so that it may transform our lives.
The retreat starts with dinner on the first day at 6:30pm and finishes on the final day at 10.00am.
There is now the option to pay a 'facilitator's rate' of £75 for those who wish to commit to coming on the retreat with the intention of trying to rally more men to come along with them from their local context.
