‘Homage to you. O Self Developed One
Whose good works are many and wondrous,
Whose virtues are too numerous and awesome to define.
Their number? They are infinite.
Their nature? Words must fail.
But to speak of them bestows great good, so I shall speak much.’
Maitriceta’s Verses of Praise to the Buddha
Come on this retreat to explore the practice of Offering the Mandala, one of the Mula Yogas from the Tharpe Delam,or ‘Smooth Path to Emancipation’.
It is a practice of offering the entire cosmos in gratitude to the Dharma and the Buddha Shakyamuni, for the profound effect they have had on our lives and those of others.
It is a hugely uplifting practice and can be seen as the devotional enactment of offering all that we have and all that we know.

We go forth from our ordinary circumstances, our comforts and distractions so that we can discern and move towards our ideals and help others to do so as well. When booking a retreat at Padmaloka it is important to get a sense of how you will be living here - what our customs, etiquettes and requirements for being on retreat are.
